Politicians behaving badly (2008/2009)

2008 and 2009 were busy times for politicians having extramarital affairs.

It makes you wonder where the ethics committees are:

However, there is a very long list, which will have to wait for a later post

A balanced system

With the partisan paralysis, it seems apparent we need more
independent voices proposing courses of action.

With the disclosure of a constitutionally explosive issue like warrantless,
illegal surveillance, I'm dismayed that the congress can't even:

1) Provide any real oversight or investigation of the issue
(I know, it's more important to know whether Barry Bonds used steroids)

2) Appoint a special prosecutor

or

3) Reach consensus on whether or not laws were broken (which you can use
special prosecutors to help you with)
