A balanced system
With the partisan paralysis, it seems apparent we need more
independent voices proposing courses of action.
With the disclosure of a constitutionally explosive issue like warrantless,
illegal surveillance, I'm dismayed that the congress can't even:
1) Provide any real oversight or investigation of the issue
(I know, it's more important to know whether Barry Bonds used steroids)
2) Appoint a special prosecutor
or
3) Reach consensus on whether or not laws were broken (which you can use
special prosecutors to help you with)
